Head Rebel / Founder

Denise Kirtley

Denise’s story is a relatable one…just shy of 50 years old, Denise woke up one day and she realized she no longer recognized herself.   Weight gain, exhaustion and declining health metrics had taken a toll. She embarked on a fitness transformation journey that saw her go from sedentary and overweight to losing 50 pounds and becoming a competitive bodybuilder in just over two years.  Along the way, she not only found herself again, but her life’s purpose; helping other women to become the very best versions of themselves and to thrive in mid life and beyond.

Rooted in a firm belief that all women get to choose how they age, Rebellion Body was born.

Through her macros, weight training and hormones studies as well as her personal transformation experience, Denise educates and supports women on how to find themselves again through proper nutrition, resistance training and mindset work.  She realizes that living your best life is not just about the physical transformation, but the identity shift necessary to see a future full of possibility.  Because we really are just getting started!

She lives outside of Los Angeles with her husband, Glenn, two dogs and thirteen backyard chickens.

Coach

Pam Griffin

Pam's specialty is helping women in perimenopause and menopause take back control of their health and fitness. Her philosophy is to meet her clients where they are at and then moving forward one day at a time to reach their goals. In spite of her many athletic pursuits such as group fitness class, long distance running (completed 5 marathons and countless half marathons), sprint triathlons, spartan race, kettlebell competitions, etc., Pam found she still struggled with her weight.Determined to find what worked for her, she tried numerous diets only to find that the weight loss she achieved wasn't sustainable.  It wasn't until she discovered macros that everything fell into place.  Pam has always loved fitness and dreamed about retiring from corporate America to pursue her passions as a fitness coach helping women feel and live their best in their menopausal years. It takes patience, dedication, and a positive mindset. Pam believes that if you are willing to put in the work, the results are guaranteed.Pam is an ISSA certified fitness and nutrition coach, as well as a certified macros coach. When she's not training, you’ll find her hanging out with her hubby, adult children or friends just relaxing or hiking and catching up on the weekends. She is also an avid traveler and she loves spending time exploring new places.

Coach

Nicole Rance

Nicole has been athletic since a young age, but her perspective changed drastically after she was in an accident that caused her to break her back.  She spent a week in the hospital, after a spinal fusion, working to build up the muscles to be able to even sit up or walk.

Nicole's recovery sparked a quest for knowledge in fitness, nutrition, psychology, yoga, mobility, and weightlifting.

After years of working through pain and discomfort, pushing past any limitations, Nicole was able to find newfound confidence and strength. It was in this journey that she knew she wanted to help other women who felt weak or powerless transcend into the strong and confident beings they were created to be.  She is driven and committed to helping other women change their lives through nutrition, strength training and self-development.

In 2012, Nicole started out as an in-person trainer, but transitioned to remote training in order to have a greater impact.

Nicole is a perpetual student and her qualifications are lengthy including numerous nutrition and fitness certifications.  Her life's passion is to help other women lead empowered and healthier lives.

Coach

Brittney

Brittney grew up struggling with her weight and never truly feeling confident in her body. The pressure to look a certain way and be a certain size was a constant presence. She started her first diet at age 12 with the goal of being “skinny,” followed by years of diet after diet, losing the weight, but always eventually gaining it back; a yo-yo lifestyle of shame and all-or-nothing thinking that persisted into her early 30’s.

It wasn't until Brittney got a coach and started lifting weights, tracking macros, and working on her mindset that she was able to transform her body and keep the weight off. She stopped being scared of being strong, and learned that building muscle is how you create that fit, toned look she always wanted. That, paired with giving herself the right nutrition to fuel her body, was a total game-changer. Committing to doing the inner work to heal her relationship with her body and food, she was able to believe in herself.

Becoming a personal trainer was the natural progression of Brittney following her love for all things fitness as well as her passion for helping people. She knows the importance of having a healthy lifestyle (especially as we age) so we can continue to lead a life full of joy, confidence, and going after our dreams. She is thrilled to be a part of the Rebellion Team, getting an opportunity to help more women on their health and fitness journey.

Coach

Albert Lim

Albert’s personal mission statement is to ‘seek to grow in every aspect of my life, striving towards a beautiful state of being, free from suffering, and to share this art with others.’ His definition of success can only be found in the hearts and lives that he comes across and are made somewhat better based on how he chooses to live his life. With an athletic background since his youth, he first discovered weight training at the age of 12 and has used it as a tool to not only transform the physical body, but to use it as a coping skill to release suppressed stress and anxiety.

With his formal education received from UC Irvine and USC and professional experiences as an Infantryman with the US Army, Social Worker serving to transform the lives of the underprivileged, personal trainer, strength & conditioning coach, athletic team coach, and high school educator and administrator, his quest has always been to help and serve others. And in the process of helping others, he has learned to help himself by continuously doing the work to become whole.

Albert spends his time with his wife Amanda and their 2 dogs. He loves spending his time outdoors in nature and training Jiu-Jitsu.

Albert is currently in a position where he loves what he does in the role of a high school educator in physical education and as an online coach; to utilize all of his personal and professional experiences to help others realize their true unlimited potential.

Coach

Melissa

Melissa was a competitive athlete into her 20s, but, like many women can relate to, she lost herself in her 30s amidst motherhood to three busy boys and advancing her corporate career. On the cusp of entering her 40s she felt untethered from herself and wore pressure and exhaustion daily. It led Melissa to set a big goal and make some significant lifestyle and mindset changes to get unstuck and to thrive.

She hired a coach and dived into macro-based nutrition and focussed bodybuilding and competed in her first bodybuilding competition. This reignited her athlete identity and passion for fitness and led to a career shift from the corporate world into high level coaching. Melissa has a deep rooted belief from her own experience that, with the right tools, guidance and commitment, physical transformation can have a profound impact on all areas of life and that’s when lifelong transformation magic happens. As a busy working mom, Melissa knows all the tricks and strategies to make a healthy lifestyle fit and work in concert with the demands of career and motherhood. It is possible and incredibly rewarding!

Melissa holds a university degree in Sport and Exercise Management and is an ISSA certified personal trainer and bodybuilding specialist. She is passionate about educating and helping other women bust through mental barriers and limitations, gain confidence in the gym and in the kitchen and develop an athlete mindset to reveal their undiscovered potential at any age.
